Profile:
I am particularly interested in illustration with an edge. I specialize in editorial, concept, and cover illustration but have an open eye to many other forms of design and illustrative work.
Education:
-senior in Illustrator at Rhode Island School of Design with a concentration in Animation
Illustration Skills:
-Working knowledge of molding and casting techniques using Smooth-On products
-Working knowledge of three-dimensional forms, both with clay sculpture and fabrication using foam (I've taken an intense class known as Creature Creations at RISD whereby we fabricate a full-body suit using latex, nylon, foam, and acrylics)
-Working knowledge of oil and acrylic painting techniques
-Adept interest in and understanding of human anatomy for use with figurative painting and characters
-Mastery of pencil and ink for technical and stylized rendering (preferably organic environments and characters)
Computer Video Skills:
-Working knowledge of Macromedia Flash and Adobe After Effects for use with animations and web graphics
-Basic knowledge of Alias’ Maya for 3D illustrations and character creation and animation
Graphic Computer Skills:
-Extensive knowledge of Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator
-Working knowledge of Adobe Indesign and Pagemaker for publishing pamplets, cards, stickers, comic books and other media
-Working knowledge of html code and use of Dreamweaver with Photoshop and Flash integration
-Working knowledge of photographing artwork, scanning with flatbed scanners and retouching with Photoshop
-Extensive knowledge and technical experience with Macintosh computers

2005: freelance storyboard artist for O’Connell and Associates in East Providence
2004: computer monitor for RISD computer labs- helped students understand techniques of Adobe software and solved problems related to the programs and Mac OS X
2003, ’04, ’05 and ’06: graphic designer for Paper Connection International, LLC in Providence, RI- worked on their annual catalogue and ads for retailer books and gained knowledge of the quality of Japanese paper
